More paintings of girls!

More girls, Kind of boring lighting on these photo references (the bathing suit), so it became a challenge to get proper feeling of depth, plus that a wet swimsuit is a pain to try to paint.

Still some fun blue ambience in around her I could use, to give a little "cool" feeling.

I make these in Photoshop, using a resolution of about 3000x4000 or so pixels, using one homemade brush and a Wacom. Having a dual-screen setup makes it much more easy to use photo reference.

[edit] added another, had trouble because I made the bg with similar colors as the model they kind of blended together. Gonna do 1 more from that enviroment, and make the background better.

[edit2] same girl, little different lighting to separate subject and background (window and pipes) Maaaybe a bit too big head.

[edit3] added two images with red/blue lighting, very hard to do red, since it first just looked like she was washed with blood. Not very natural lighting, still fun to try and mimic.

Painting some ladies!

After seeing the awesome picture that Jonas made, I felt I wanted to paint some women in sexy/strange poses, and with some interesting lighting. Regular nude-models that pose for artists are seldom shot in exciting lightning, so I had to find some interesting nude art instead, as porn seldom gives any interesting imagery at all.

Since the photos came from googling, there was some clothing as well, pretty tough to make wrinkles in dresses to look good.

Great fun, and hopefully I´ll learn a thing or two about corsets, I mean lighting! :-)
And thx for the inspirational pic, Jonas!

Workshop, sadness

Participated in a workshop over at cgmwonline.com where concept artist Kekai Kotaki (Guild Wars 2) went through some of his techniques when doing art. Really inspiring, learned some fun stuff. Also noticed that one of my biggest problems is that start to render the image to early. Composition first! And started to swing the "lasso" for better, harder shapes.

I drew the image above while watching the workshop. Fun stuff!

On another note Swedish Elections ended today... And it makes me really sad and angry to learn that so many Swedes voted for a racist party...
Sigh...

Seems like the chilly winds of racism are blowing in several countries in Europe as of late...
Ah, tired...

Collage of many things

This is a collection of a lot of personal stuff that I've done just in the last months for fun or to try something new. Some of them are finished and others are in a more unfinished state. For every pic I make, there are tons of unfinished ones. I just loose interest in many of them before I can finish them.

The unfinished usually consist of fail, but I've included some in these collages just for fun. Sometimes I even forget pics for months before finding and finishing them.

Some are concepts for game characters, studies from movie-stills, a remake of Sömma, and a lot of other things.
